Crème Nouveau’s wonderful quirky creations are lovingly hand made by flamboyant kitsch fanatic Katherine Hawkins.
A Hunter of vintage gems and retro goodies, Katherine seeks her treasure in antique shops and attics. Her eye for weird and wonderful , kitschy items from decades past ensures she has a vast selection of retro goodies to whip up into original quirky designs. Her talent for combining random objects to create something wearable is what gives Crème Nouveau’s accessories such unique charm.
Crème Nouveau was born after 3 years of creative follies studying Design Crafts at De Montfort University. Katherine turned her hand to making glass beads, glass slumping, resin casting, textiles and many other disciplines and is now equipped with a whole armoury of crafty knowledge that she dedicates to her label Crème Nouveau.
You can be sure of getting something unique as all Crème Nouveau jewellery is made in limited editions and one offs. If you are looking for something bespoke don’t hesitate to get in touch. Katherine loves to make tailor made items. Her latest Twinkle Deluxe range is created from hand cast resin ,suede and vintage silk.. If you are after a bespoke version of one these fine specimens or you have an image of your own you want to use drop as a line. These will be made to order and will take 3-4 weeks.
